Tianda Square Donated by Mr. Fang Wenquan Unveiled and Inaugurated at Tsinghua University

Tianda Institute 2016-04-20 08:00 On the morning of April 20, 2016, the unveiling and inauguration ceremony for donation of Tianda Square to Tsinghua University, by Mr. Fang Wenquan, an alumnus of Tsinghua, the founder and Chairman of both Tianda Group and Tianda Institute, was held in the campus.

Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr. Wang Zhimin; Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia, Mr. Zhou Wenzhong; the former Party Secretary of Tsinghua University, Professor He Meiying; Deputy Party Secretary of Tsinghua University, Professor Shi Zongkai; Vice President of Tsinghua University, Professor Yang Bin; Mr. Fang Wenquan and over one hundred guests from all walks of life attended the ceremony. Professor Li Jiaqiang, Secretary-General of Tsinghua University Education Foundation, presided over the ceremony, and Professor He Meiying, Professor Shi Zongkai, Professor Yang Bin, Mr. Fang Wenquan etc. unveiled Tianda Square together.

Tianda Group, Tianda Institute and Tsinghua University Co-founded the Institute for National Strategic Studies

2012-09-26 08:00 On September 20, 2012, the signing ceremony of the Cooperation and Donation Agreement among Tianda Group, Tianda Institute and Tsinghua University was held at the I-shaped Hall in Tsinghua University. Professor Chen Jining (principal of Tsinghua University), Professor XieWeihe (deputy principal of Tsinghua University and vice chairman of Tsinghua University Education Foundation) and Mr. Fang Wenquan (chairman of Tianda Group and Tianda Institute) signed the Cooperation and Donation Agreement for the Establishment of the National Strategic Institute(NSI).  In his address, Mr. Fang said, “the establishment of the NSI by Tianda Group, Tianda Institute and Tsinghua University marks the bilateral cooperation has reached a new stage and new level. Boao Forum for Asia: The 3rd International Capital Conference

Tianda Institute 2011-11-28 08:00 The 3rd BFA International Capital Conference was held in Paris, France from November 22 to 24, 2011. As a sponsor of the event, Tianda Institute was also invited to attend the meeting. The conference sessions explored a wide range of pressing issues including global economic situation and European sovereign debt crisis, reform of international monetary system, banking regulation and cross-border M&A. Vice Chairman of Boao Forum for Asia and Chief Representative of China Zeng Peiyan delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, joined by former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, François Baroin. French President Nicolas Sarkozy held a gala drinks reception at the Élysée Palace and delivered a speech on Euro zone debt crisis on the evening of November 21. This conference is the very first international cooperation program between Tianda Institute and Boao Forum for Asia, which brought positive impact to deeper mutual understanding and collaboration between the two organizations.

Tianda Institute Officially Published the Book “The Road to China”

2010-06-30    Mr. Fang Wenquan(Left), Chairman of Tianda Institute and Mr. E.G.Whitlam, the former Prime Minister of Australia On June 18th, 2010 the book “The Road to China” (both English and Chinese editions) was officially published by Tianda Institute. “The Road to China” is a collection of articles, speeches and records of conversation written and presented by the former Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable E.G. Whitlam, regarding Australia’s relationship with China. As early as 1954 Whitlam was the first member from the Australian government to urge the recognition of the People's Republic of China. Whitlam became the first Australian political leader to visit China in an official capacity as leader of the Labor Party in 1971. The following year, 1972, just three weeks after being elected Prime Minister, Whitlam established formal diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of Australia and the People’s Republic of China. Tianda Institute and Mr. Whitlam began working together three years ago on the publication of the book with its foreword written by the former Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. Kevin Rudd. (Beijing, 14 April 2010) Tianda Institute and the Ministry of Land and Resources of the People’s Republic of China (“MLR”) sealed closer ties in training and demonstration at the signing ceremony in Beijing.  Mr Yun Xiaosu, Deputy Minister of Land and Resources, Mr Zhang Junsai, Chinese ambassador to Australia and Mr Fang Wenquan, Chairman of Tianda Institute attended the ceremony.
